A leading global engineering and technology organisation is seeking a Finance Specialist – Accounting Operations to join their finance team in Leicester. This role will support core accounting activities and play a key part in month-end close processes while helping maintain efficient financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general accounting support during month-end close activities
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform account reconciliations and support financial reporting processes
• Assist with payments processing across multiple bank accounts and legal entities
• Support the resolution of misdirected payments and other banking queries
• Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, SOPs and financial process requirements
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and support implementation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline or equivalent experience
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in accounting operations using SAP
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
